Yes, that’s possible since return is capitalized when final flip occurs. As long as final sale is not made, your gain would be not realized, unless you bring an investor willing to pay your ask price for your shares.

There are different rules we should follow. On top of not using interest and only work with equity (no mortgages, no debts, etc), the bottom line is to be in line with Islamic investment standards  published by the The Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) which is an Islamic international autonomous non-for-profit corporate body issuing standards about Islamic finance and investment among others. 

The investments are reviewed by Shariah board designated by the investment vehicle's board of director  representing shareholders in case of any need.
